Unless expressly stated otherwise, We Sell Things facilitates transactions between users but is not the owner or seller of the goods.

The buyer remains responsible for paying the agreed purchase price and complying with the applicable transaction requirements.
Where the Platform provides payment, collection, delivery, verification or other transaction services, those services may be subject to additional terms and conditions.

Applicable fees will be communicated to the user before the relevant transaction is completed.
Where a transaction is subject to a Platform fee, the applicable fee may be deducted from amounts otherwise payable to the seller.
We Sell Things may change its fees from time to time. Where a fee applies to an existing listing or transaction, the applicable fee will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.
Each seller is responsible for determining and complying with their own tax obligations arising from their activities on the Platform.
This may include income tax, VAT or other applicable taxes and reporting obligations.
We Sell Things does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice to users.
Users are responsible for providing accurate information where We Sell Things is legally required to collect, retain or report information relating to transactions.
Where We Sell Things is required by law to provide information to the South African Revenue Service ("SARS") or another lawful authority, we may do so.
Where applicable, We Sell Things may operate as an intermediary or agent facilitating transactions between sellers and buyers. The contractual and tax treatment of a transaction will depend on applicable law and the actual structure of the transaction.
Nothing in these Terms relieves a seller from a tax obligation imposed by law.
Where payment services are provided through the Platform, payments may be processed by We Sell Things or by a third-party payment service provider.
Users may be required to accept additional terms imposed by the applicable payment service provider.
We Sell Things may use reasonable measures to detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised transactions.
We may delay, suspend or withhold a payment where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, comply with legal requirements or resolve a legitimate transaction dispute.
Where a seller provides banking details for receiving payouts, the seller confirms that the banking information supplied belongs to them or that they are authorised to receive payments into the nominated account.
Users must keep banking information accurate and up to date.
We Sell Things may encrypt and otherwise protect banking information in accordance with our security practices and Privacy Policy.
Users should never provide banking details to another user through listing descriptions, public messages or other publicly accessible areas of the Platform.
Where an item is collected directly by a buyer, the buyer and seller are responsible for agreeing on a suitable collection arrangement.
Users should take reasonable precautions when arranging collections with other users.
Where We Sell Things provides or facilitates delivery services, those services may be subject to separate delivery terms.
We Sell Things may provide information regarding collection or delivery arrangements but does not guarantee the performance of an independent delivery provider unless expressly stated otherwise.
Returns and refunds may depend on the nature of the transaction, the condition of the goods, the reason for the return and applicable South African law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where a dispute arises between a buyer and seller, We Sell Things may provide a dispute-resolution process where such a process is available.
We may request information from both parties and may take reasonable steps to investigate a transaction.
Our involvement in a dispute does not necessarily make We Sell Things a party to the underlying sale.
We Sell Things intends to operate in accordance with applicable South African consumer-protection legislation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or protection that a consumer has under applicable law where such exclusion, restriction or modification would be unlawful.
Where the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable legislation provides a mandatory consumer right, that right will apply notwithstanding anything inconsistent in these Terms.
By using the Platform, you consent to receiving electronic communications relating to your account and transactions, subject to applicable law.
Electronic records, confirmations, notices and communications may be used to communicate information regarding your account, listings, purchases, payments and other Platform activities.
The Platform operates electronically and may be subject to temporary interruptions, maintenance or technical failures.
Users may upload photographs, descriptions, messages and other content to the Platform.

You grant We Sell Things a non-exclusive right to host, display, reproduce and use submitted content for the purposes of operating, maintaining and promoting the Platform.
We may remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or applicable law.
The We Sell Things name, branding, website design, software, logos, graphics, functionality and other Platform materials are owned by or licensed to We Sell Things unless otherwise stated.
Users may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit Platform materials without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.
